In May 2007, Pope & Talbot Ltd. was found to have contravened section 105.1 of the Forest Act (the “Act”) by providing inaccurate information to the Ministry of Forests and Range for the purposes of a stumpage rate determination. Pope & Talbot Ltd. appealed the determination.
By consent of the parties, the Commission ordered that the contravention determination and the penalty be rescinded.
The appeal was allowed.
