Summary

Decision Date: October 1, 1998

Panel: Toby Vigod

Slocan Forest Products (“Slocan”) appealed a Review Panel decision finding that Slocan had contravened several sections of the Code and Forest Road Regulation (the “Regulation“). Prior to commencement of the appeal hearing, the issues under appeal were resolved by the parties. They requested that the Commission make an order, by consent of the parties, that the Review Panel decision be varied. The Commission ordered that all of the contraventions at issue in the appeal, except for one, be rescinded. The contravention of s. 17(1) the Regulation and the corresponding penalty of $1500 were upheld. Appeal allowed by consent.
